The Scarano brothers' passion for maritime history is evident in the impressive range of period-styled wood sailing vessels and historic replicas.

We have been particularly adept at adapting modern construction methods and materials for safety, performance, and maintenance, without sacrificing period appearance. For example, we pioneered the use of kevlar shrouds as standing rigging with the appearance of help cordage.

Bermuda Sloop Friends Good Will

• Designed and Built by Scarano Boat, 2005
• Operating in Michigan

The original Friends Good Will was built in 1811 and earned fame for its role in the war of 1812. In 2004, the Michigan Maritime Museum commissioned Scarano Boat to design and build this faithful replica.

Full-rigged Ship Friendship

• LOA: 178 feet (54 m)
• Built by Scarano Boat, 1998
• Open to public in Salem, MA

The National Park Service contracted Scarano Boat to build a fully operational replica of the Friendship, a three-masted merchant vessel launched in 1797. She is on display at the Salem Maritime National Historic Site in Salem, Massachusetts.
